We had an amazing 4th of July in our nations capitol.
Here we are waiting for the metro to go downtown for the day!
Masons favorite thing was this big Curious George balloon.
Through out the whole parade he just kept saying "more awh awh (like the sound a monkey makes) wheese (please)"
Dallas loved this Vietnam Jeep, all decked out like it would have been during the war.
After walking around outside for a while we found these water fountains in front of the art museum and played in them to cool off a little. At first Mason was a little nervous about it, but he warmed up to the idea very quickly. He would have ran right through them if we would have let him.
Then we headed over to the the capitol to go to the concert out on the lawn, but while we were in line to get in, they evacuated everyone because there was "severe weather" heading towards DC. So we spent about an hour inside a federal parking garage until the storm passed.
We were so happy to finally be sitting on our blanket on the lawn in front of the Capitol . It was a really fun night. We danced the night away to Little Richard, Elliot Yamin, Dirks Bentley and a bunch more artist. I didn't know how Mason would do, because it was way past his bed time, but he loved every minute of it. He danced his little heart out.

At the end of the concert there was an amazing firework display behind the Washington Memorial. All in all we had a great fourth of July!! Happy Birthday America!!!
